The Challenge
Pizza Hut wanted to become the number one food choice for Supercars fans. But with the humble meat pie dominating Australian sporting events for decades, how could we convince racegoers to swap their pies for pizza?
The Idea
If we wanted fans to choose pizza over pies, we needed to make a statement.
So we convinced Supercars driver Scott Pye to do the unthinkable. Change his name to Scott Pizza.
The Impact
The name change took fans by surprise, sparking conversations across social media and putting Pizza Hut at the centre of the Supercars conversation on the opening day of the season.
